Families who are licensed through Durham County, Orange County and some private agencies can use this class toward licensing training hours! Check with your licensing social worker if you work with a private agency.

This class provides concepts and tools parents can use to secure their home network. We will discuss practical ways that parents can prevent conflict over internet and electronics access. We will also discuss various technologies that can be used to prevent malware, predators, attackers, and unauthorized access to your network.

About the instructor:
Joseph Bradley is a CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) and Senior Engineer at Cisco Systems. He is Architect for Cisco's internal Hardware and Software VPN, as well as a former Police Officer, who understands the importance of online safety and security. Joseph is also a foster and adoptive parent who has dealt with issues regarding electronics in his own household, and is passionate about home networking, network security, and helping other parents develop internet safety in their home.
